  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, interpret schematics and blueprints, and utilize your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in industrial settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards, local codes, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Use testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in your jurisdiction. Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with construction site experience preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage (HV) and low voltage wiring. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and troubleshooting control systems. Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing equipment like ohmmeters. Familiarity with NEC standards, renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general construction practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects. Strong safety awareness with commitment to following all safety protocols on site.
