$5,000 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join a leading manufacturing operation in Lake Odessa, Michigan. This role is responsible for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical maintenance experience, PLC troubleshooting capabilities, and prior experience working within a food processing or food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on manufacturing and processing equipment Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems, including Allen-Bradley platforms Troubleshoot ladder logic, motors, drives, sensors, relays, and electrical control systems Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, P&IDs, and single-line diagrams Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance activities Utilize calibration and testing tools such as multimeters and RTD calibrators Support plant operations by responding to equipment downtime and emergency repairs Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency Work weekends and off-shift hours as required to support production needs Required Qualifications Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the State of Michigan Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting and programming skills, preferably with Allen-Bradley PLC systems Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to read and interpret: Detailed blueprints P&IDs Single-line diagrams Wiring schematics Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and off shifts as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a food processing or food manufacturing environment Computer literacy and willingness to learn SAP/PPE systems Experience using test and calibration equipment including: RTD calibrators Multimeters Electrical diagnostic tools Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on industrial electrician with strong troubleshooting abilities, PLC experience, and a proven background in manufacturing maintenance. Candidates with food manufacturing or food processing experience are highly preferred.
