Kitchen Helper

Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support chefs and cooks Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support cooking activities by preparing basic dishes and following established recipes and menu plans Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed at all times Aid in meal assembly and serving to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes to customers or dining areas Assist with catering setups, including arranging food displays and ensuring presentation meets standards Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper knife skills and sanitation practices Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and food safety practices within a restaurant or food service environment Basic culinary skills such as food preparation, cooking, and knife handling are preferred Experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and serving customers Join us as a Kitchen Helper and be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
