Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager/Cook to oversee food service operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality meals for a family-owned pizza restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, food safety, and menu planning, with the ability to lead kitchen staff and maintain efficient kitchen workflows. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic food service environment, emphasizing quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role will report directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines Supervise front and back of house staff, including training and scheduling Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels Oversee food presentation to ensure appealing plating and portioning Implement quality control measures to uphold high standards of food quality and safety Assist with catering events and special meal services as needed Requirements Strong background in culinary arts, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Experience in fast-paced pizza restaurant environments highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Ability to lead a team effectively and manage kitchen operations efficiently Familiarity with catering services and large-scale food service operations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety protocols Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
