Duties Assist with the loading and unloading of waste containers onto a waste collection truck Support the safe operation of garbage trucks by helping with manual lifting and positioning of waste bins and materials Load and unload waste materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Help drivers with vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks before and after routes Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in designated containers or areas Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or truck operation Collaborate with team members to ensure timely collection schedules are met Requirements Must be able to pass a drug screening/background check Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with truck components is a plus Valid driving license Strong physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to follow safety instructions diligently and work as part of a team Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance checks and safety protocols This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to learn about heavy-duty vehicle operations while making a tangible difference in community sanitation efforts.
