Job Duties, Work Location, and On-Site Expectations:
Day-to-day responsibilities, the expectation for on-site work, and the rare but possible need for plant site visits, including related requirements such as drug testing and security clearance.
Position Requirements and Candidate Qualifications:
Specific requirements for the Electrical Laboratory Technician position, including educational background, technical skills, physical abilities, and the openness to candidates with varying levels of experience, including those with military backgrounds.
Technical and Educational Background:
Candidates should ideally have a technical college background in instrumentation or electronics, but backgrounds in pneumatic or pressure testing are also considered, military training, especially in calibration, is highly valued.
Physical and Practical Requirements:
Need for basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and the capacity to perform tasks such as loading/unloading vehicles and assembling test equipment, with safety protocols in place for heavy lifting. Openness to
Junior Candidates:
Experience is preferred, candidates straight out of school or with strong aptitude and willingness to learn will be considered, and all candidates will receive in-house training before working independently.
Key Technical Knowledge:
Importance of understanding Ohm's law for the role, noting that it is fundamental to much of the laboratory's equipment and may be a topic during interviews.
Position Requirements:
?? Perform all routine and some complex calibrations, tests, test set- ups, data collection and/or data analysis in accordance with all pertinent customer and QA program requirements. Develop sound conclusions and write reports of project results. Interact with clients and vendors to resolve technical problems relating to assigned work. Associates degree or equivalent or PMEL training (no experience required), or a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus four years of relevant experience. Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining unescorted access to nuclear plants. Basic computer skills. Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, and strong customer orientation. Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle. Ability to work independently and at remote locations. Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. Must be willing to go onsite and work in the nuclear plant environment. Qualified candidates should

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS
Pay Range•: $30.00 - $31.03 per hour •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
