POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION

Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant standing. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to work well with other employees. Ability to follow instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with different types of scrap metal.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard. Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard. Weigh small scrap orders for customers. Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust.
