Land Surveying CAD Technician

The role is responsible for preparing CAD drawings for a variety of projects on a fluctuating schedule. Helping to prep field crew data and maintain communication with field crews and project managers. Help maintain accurate records and research as needed. ALTA/NSPS

surveys o Boundary surveys o Site plans o Construction staking o As-built surveys o Subdivision plats Prepare construction staking data for field crews using construction plan sets Provide field crews with calculations for construction projects and construction staking Input survey points, draft surveys, and process field collected data into CAD Research data for new and ongoing projects Report to and collaborate with the project manager and surveyor on the execution of ongoing and scheduled projects Coordinate with field crews daily to obtain relevant survey data, field information, and resolve issues required to complete ongoing projects Keep to tight deadlines Required skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Carlson Software Ability to read and interpret construction plans and plats Ability to complete projects independently or with minimal supervision and on schedule Attention to detail Solid computations skills Preferred skills: Proficiency in Carlson Software Five to ten years previous CAD land surveying Excellent communication skills and tutoring abilities Job type: Full-time position with vacation, paid holidays, and overtime availability. Pay:

$20-$40 per hour based on experience Job location: Venice, Florida Personal transportation is required. Dress code is casual and laid back with a slightly more formal attire required only for specific occasions with prior announcement. The work environment is an open office environment that has extremely limited contact with the public.
