Job Description
Under general supervision, performs administrative and investigative work enforcing State and local codes. Is responsible for inspecting, investigating and prosecuting violations of the Town of Davie Code and other codes and/or ordinances applicable to property within the Town. Reports to Code Compliance Supervisor. Graduation from High School or Equivalent. Two (2) years of college-level course work. Possess at least two (2) years experience dealing with the public in any of the following fields: Code Enforcement, Planning, Building Inspection or Construction, Investigation, or other closely related field. Possess F.A.C.E. (Florida Association of Code Enforcement) Level I Certification, or must obtain certification within twelve (12) months from date of appointment; Possession of a valid Class "E" Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Must be physically able to operate a vehicle; Must not have drivers license suspensions within five (5) years of submission of an application unless it was insurance related. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
