Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Mediator to facilitate effective resolution of family law disputes across diverse communities. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in legal mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution techniques to help parties reach mutually beneficial agreements. Your ability to handle confidential information with integrity, manage conflicts efficiently, and foster open communication will be essential in creating a fair and respectful mediation process. Join in providing a proven alternative to litigation by guiding parties through complex disputes with professionalism and empathy. Duties Conduct mediations for a variety of family disputes, including custody, visitation, support, and equitable distribution conflicts ensuring a neutral and balanced approach. Facilitate discussions between parties to identify underlying interests, clarify issues, and develop actionable solutions. Apply negotiation skills to help disputants explore options and reach consensus while maintaining confidentiality and impartiality. Analyze case details thoroughly to prepare for mediation sessions, ensuring all relevant information is considered for effective resolution. Manage sensitive information discreetly, upholding confidentiality standards throughout the mediation process. Develop clear documentation of mediation proceedings, agreements reached, and follow-up actions required. Provide guidance on alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration when appropriate, promoting efficient conflict management strategies. Requirements Certified mediator credential from an accredited program or organization. Proven experience in workplace dispute resolution, legal mediation, or related fields. Strong negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and understand different perspectives. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to clearly articulate issues and facilitate understanding among parties. Analytical skills to assess complex situations quickly and develop practical solutions. Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Knowledge of arbitration processes and alternative dispute resolution techniques is preferred. Pay:
$100.00 - $175.00 per hour
