Isabella County Trial Court Warrant Officer - Friend of the
Court General Summary:
Identifies individuals with outstanding Friend of the Court child support warrants and notifies law enforcement of their whereabouts. Monitors all Friend of the Court-related warrants andcommunicates with individuals by telephone, electronic communication, in-person meetings, or home visits to explore options for resolving outstanding warrant and support matters. May transport or facilitate the transport of incarcerated individuals between correctional facilities using a provided vehicle. Employees may be armed while performing transport-related duties in accordance with applicable policies, training requirements, and authorization. Assists payers with obtaining employment, accessing community resources, and developing the skills necessary to secure and maintain employment. Performs other tasks as assigned.
Starting wage:
$23.56 per hour to start; increases to $25.80 after one year; 37.5 hours per week Minimum requirements: Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Law enforcement experience may be substituted for degree requirements. One or more year of law enforcement experience or Friend of the Court collection experience. Must be able to pass firearm qualification requirements. Equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the required skills and abilities may be considered.
