Work involves responsibility for preventing escape, maintaining order and discipline within the prisoner population and for escorting prisoners to and from their cells. The Jailer maintains security in and around cell blocks by checking facilities, taking head counts and performing security patrols. The employee performs the duties necessary to book a prisoner into the jail, including photographing and finger printing. The Jailer will supervise inmates in specific assignments to include, but not limited to: laundry, kitchen, book-in, court services, control, and road crew.

Peace Officer Standards and Training Certification (POST), as a Jailer, must be received within 6 months from the date of hire Schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. High School Diploma/GED Minimum 21 years of age Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C)
