Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Jail Sergeant, performs general correctional duties, which in turn protect life, property, and preserve order within the community. Will be required to work day, evening and through the night shift rotations.
Essential Functions:
Perform general correctional duties as part of a team Demonstrate sound leadership and rational judgement Work independently of direct supervision Drive emergency vehicles under stressful conditions Protect the general safety of the public
Qualifications:
Responsible, level-headed, and trustworthy female Pass a physical, written, and psychological examination Previous experience with and understanding of applicable county, state, and federal laws would be an asset
Conditions of Employment:
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States Ability to maintain a valid driver's license Pass a physical, written, and psychological examination Pass a background check and drug test
