Total Compensation (wages + benefits): approx. $59,444 per year

Responsibilities:

• Maintain security and order within the correctional facility
• Supervise and monitor inmates' activities, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations
• Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband
• Respond to emergencies, including fights, medical incidents, and fires
• Enforce disciplinary actions as necessary
• Write detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and facility conditions
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential security risks
• Operate CCTV systems to monitor inmate activity

Qualifications:

• Pass physical
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Law enforcement or military experience preferred
• Excellent conflict management skills
• Must be able to pass a physical fitness test
