Job Description

Starting at $21.50 per hour. Looking to hire Juvenile Corrections Officers. Maintains basic discipline and control of youths; supervises activities and behavior of youths detained in the facility; facilitates instructional groups; follows cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care models; wakes youths and supervises during showering and other activities; oversees youths as they perform housekeeping or other tasks; assists in serving meals; eats with youths to maintain discipline and demonstrate acceptable social skills; etc.); performs general cleaning and laundry tasks (e.g. washes and dries clothing and linens; dusts furniture; washes windows; cleans bathrooms and kitchen; sweeps and buffs floors; empties trash; etc.); ensures that residents follow facility policies and procedures; enforces behavior management system; issues warnings and disciplinary measures as necessary; conducts room checks on residents as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of secondary education or equivalent supplemented by training or experience in the juvenile justice field; must be at least 21 years of age; must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license with no restrictions; must be able to pass background check, including drug screening, as a condition of employment.
