Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Credentialed in El Paso, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, law enforcement personnel, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures. Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and/or hazards to appropriate personnel. Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements:
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess a college degree. Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
