Job Overview The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's office is accepting applications for a full-time Victim Advocate position. The starting salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. A full benefits package will be provided to the successfully hired candidate, including free health insurance, two retirement programs, free life insurance policies, paid vacation/sick/holiday leave, and much more. The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's office is located inside the Callaway County Justice Center at 5 East 2nd Street in Fulton. The normal business hours for this office is Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm with weekends and holidays off.
Scope:
This full-time position provides direct services to crime victims in the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The role involves outreach to individuals, liaising with local criminal justice entities, and collaborating with community resource providers to ensure crime victims receive the support they need. A bachelor's degree in Social Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with crime victims
Preferred:
experience in case management, victim services, and the criminal justice system A passion for supporting victims, especially those affected by assault, sexual assault, and crimes against children
Skills & Qualities We Value:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of the criminal justice system and trauma-informed care Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to ethics and professionalism in victim services

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct services to crime victims, including support and resources, in accordance with statutory requirements in RSMo 529.209. Assist victims in navigating the criminal justice process and advocate for their rights. Maintain accurate records of services and communications using case management systems. Assist victims with applications for the Missouri Safe at Home Program and provide ongoing support. Collaborate with the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services and other local entities to promote victim services. Commit to upholding the Professional Code of Ethics for Victim Service Providers and ensuring the rights of victims are honored and protected. Prepare regular documentation of services provided.
