Job Description
We are growing! Come join our team of Mechanical Engineering Consultants and Expert Witnesses. Work on projects in a variety of industries ranging from consumer products to heavy equipment. Use your skills to solve difficult engineering problems, to design new products, to analyze accidents and failures and provide opinions on product liability and patent lawsuits. Responsibilities Work with clients, moving projects through various stages of the product development process. Perform inspections and testing as necessary to gather data Analyze failure sequences and apply engineering principles to determine how to mitigate risk Examine products and compare to claims of patents Write reports detailing opinions on cases Explain opinions in deposition or trial as necessary Qualifications Experience 7+ years Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required) Master's degree or PhD preferred Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (required) Passed Professional Engineering Exam, licensed PE, or ability to obtain license (required) Prior experience testifying in depositions or trials (desired) Understanding of patent prosecution and patent litigation (desired) Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Motivated self starter Strong written and verbal communications skills Background and experience in multiple industries is helpful About Alpine Engineering & Design, Inc.
