Temporary Investigator Hartford, CT PCN #TBD Monday through Friday $ 33.68 per hour The Division of Criminal Justice is currently recruiting for the position of Temporary Investigator with the Hartford Community Court Enhancement project. This grant-funded position will be located in Hartford. The current end date of the grant is . This is a temporary position with the State. Travel within the state may be required with the possibility of out-of-state travel. Travel costs will be covered or reimbursed. Background check will be required.

Position Summary:

This is a grant-funded position for a Temporary Investigator The ideal candidate for this position will have prior criminal justice system work experience, especially in Connecticut, pre-existing knowledge of the Connecticut Criminal Justice System, specifically the Division of Criminal Justice, and relationships with local community-based law enforcement in the Hartford Judicial District.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess working knowledge of law enforcement, community-based law enforcement, standard office procedures and computer software programs, and the ability to apply such knowledge to a variety of interrelated processes, tasks, and operations. Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills and ability to work with law enforcement agencies in securing, handling, and reviewing digital evidence in the form of reports and evidence, including video, 911 calls, and body and dashboard cameras.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a criminal justice related field
• 3 years of law enforcement experience or law enforcement adjacent experience; preference given to experience in community-based policing
• Experience with arrest and search warrant reports
• Experience with the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
