INVESTIGATOR
- New London G.A. #10 Applications are now being accepted for the position of Public Defender Investigator - New London G.A.#10 courthouse. Applicants for this position will work under an Investigator of higher grade or the Office Head. Responsibilities may include gathering information to be used in the determination of eligibility for public defender services; locating and interviewing potential witnesses; photographing crime scenes and other relevant locations; preparing charts and diagrams; acting as liaison with forensic witnesses; conferring with legal staff regarding investigations; preparing reports of investigations; transporting clients to proceedings; serving subpoenas; testifying in courtroom proceedings; other duties as assigned. Computer and database literacy are also preferred.
Qualifications:
Investigator 1 : two (2) years of experience in law enforcement or criminal investigation or in related criminal investigative work; or a bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. Investigator 2 : three (3) years of experience in law enforcement or in a related field, such as criminal justice or investigative work; a bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of general experience.
Special Requirements :

Annual Starting Salary:
Investigator 1: $69,671.00 with full State benefits. Investigator 2: $76,833.00 with full State benefits.
