Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Background Check Researcher (Part-Time) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity and safety of our organization by conducting comprehensive background investigations. Your work will involve gathering, analyzing, and verifying information related to potential employees, contractors, or partners. Duties Conduct thorough background research using various sources such as public records, government databases, and online platforms to verify candidate information. Analyze investigation evidence and compile detailed investigative reports that clearly outline findings and conclusions. Apply investigative interviewing techniques when necessary to gather additional information or clarification from sources. Assist in fraud prevention and detection efforts by identifying suspicious activities or inconsistencies during background checks. Collect and document data accurately while adhering to criminal procedure guidelines and legal standards. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies or government entities during investigations that require specialized knowledge or access. Prepare comprehensive reports for internal review or external agencies that support decision-making processes related to employment or contractual agreements. Qualifications Proven experience in criminal investigation, law enforcement, or government agency investigation roles is highly desirable. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data and evidence effectively. Knowledge of criminal law, criminal procedure, and investigative techniques related to evidence collection and surveillance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for report writing and data management. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity. Familiarity with investigation evidence collection methods and investigative interviewing techniques. Experience working with government agencies or in environments requiring strict adherence to legal protocols is a plus.
