Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision of the Principal, assist in the supervision, management, safety and well- being of students during lunch.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Supervises noon and recess play activities which are in progress in the yard or playground. Maintains firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students in a consistent manner. Circulates around the assigned play area; acts at all times in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and philosophy of the school and the district. Attempts to prevent accidents and injury before they occur by recognizing conditions and situations likely to cause trouble; takes action to correct such conditions. Monitors and assists in clean up in the eating areas. Helps students to develop good habits of citizenship by insisting upon democratic behavior; encourages students to practice courtesy. Refers any requests for leaving the school grounds to the principal or assistant principal. Maintains confidentiality regarding student behavior.OTHER DUTIES
