Sun Valley, CA Job Details Full-time $18.42 - $19.50 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Crisis prevention CPR Certification Outdoor work experience Conflict de-escalation De-escalation support in education High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Emergency response procedures Full Job Description General Responsibilities The Campus Supervisor will monitor student behavior on campus, resolve minor problems, enforce rules and regulations governing student conduct and provide direction and assistance to visitors and students. Specific Responsibilities Monitor student behavior in hallways, non-classroom areas and parking lots. Enforce established school rules and standards for student conduct. Supervise hallways and check passes for students not in class. Supervise campus entrances for visitors and student behavior at various times of the day. Provide assistance and directions to students and campus visitors; identify unauthorized individuals and take appropriate action. Monitor restrooms, nutrition and lunch areas and other school facilities. Establish and maintain appropriate relationships and rapport with students. Observe student interactions and activities and report concerns to the appropriate administrator. Work with students and administrators to maintain a clean and orderly campus. Promote and model appropriate behavior among students. Conduct self as Christ's ambassador to students, staff and parents. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Assist with crowd control and emergency situations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Village Christian School seeks to hire only employees with a vibrant Christian faith. Successful candidates will possess experience in: A strong Christian faith. Agreement with VCS Statement of Faith and Mission Statement. Knowledge of VCS code of conduct and standards for behavior. Understanding of adolescent development. Effective interpersonal skills including tact, patience and courtesy. High degree of integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in performing duties. Communicate effectively and positively with students, parents, faculty, and the public. Work cooperatively with others. Be able to de-escalate potentially volatile or violent situations. Ability to respond calmly and thoughtfully to challenging situations or emergencies. High School Diploma required. Further education desired. Previous successful experience working with youth and experience in the security field are considered assets. Other Requirements Must be able to work outdoors and walk/stand for long periods. Must be able to be able to bend, reach, and climb stairs in the performance of their duties. Ability to lift up to 25lbs. Must hold or obtain a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate within the first three months of employment.
