- 6:00pm The Playground & Instructional Aide supports the mission of the school by supervising students in a safe, structured, and Christ-centered environment.
This role includes playground supervision during recess and lunch, classroom support during instructional time, and assisting with after-school care. The aide models Christian character, promotes positive student behavior, and contributes to a nurturing school community. Primary ResponsibilitiesPlayground Supervision Supervise students during recess and lunch to ensure safety and appropriate behavior. Monitor student interactions and promote kindness, inclusion, and respect. Enforce school rules and procedures consistently. Address minor conflicts and refer concerns to administration when needed. Ensure safe use of playground equipment. Maintain awareness of all students at all times. Classroom Support (Instructional Aide Duties) Assist teachers with classroom activities, preparation of materials, and student support. Provide supervision and guidance during lessons, group work, or transitions. Support students academically and behaviorally under teacher direction. Help maintain an organized and orderly classroom environment. Reinforce classroom expectations and school values. After-School Care Supervise students in after-school care programs. Lead or assist with structured activities, homework support, and play. Ensure student safety and follow proper sign-in and dismissal procedures. Maintain a positive and caring environment for students. Spiritual Responsibilities Model Christian values, character, and servant leadership. Support and uphold the school's Christian mission and beliefs. Encourage Christ-like behavior including kindness, respect, and integrity. Participate in school prayer and spiritual activities as appropriate. Qualifications Agreement with and support of the school's statement of faith and mission. Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or ministry setting preferred. Strong supervision and classroom management skills. Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with staff. Patient, dependable, and nurturing demeanor. Ability to remain attentive and active throughout the school day. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to supervise outdoor activities in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds if needed.
