Crossing Guard
LOCATION
Georgetown Police Department The Georgetown Police Department is seeking a reliable, community minded School Crossing Guard to ensure the safety of students, families, and pedestrians during school operating hours. This position plays a vital role in promoting safe travel to and from school and maintaining a visible, positive presence within the community. The Crossing Guard will report directly to the Chief of Police or their Designee. Duties and Responsibilities 
Pedestrian Safety:
Safely guide students and other pedestrians across designated crosswalks. 
Traffic Awareness:
Monitor traffic conditions and ensure vehicles stop before pedestrians enter the roadway. 
Community Interaction:
Maintain a courteous, professional presence while interacting with students, families, and motorists. 
Incident Reporting:
Notify supervisors of any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents occurring during duty hours. Operating Hours 
Morning:
7:00 AM - 9:00 AM 
Afternoon:
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (Hours may be adjusted based on school schedule.) Requirements  Minimum Age — Must be at least 18 years old  Proof of U.S. Citizenship  No Felony Convictions  Successful Completion of Background Examination  Reliable Transportation  Ability to Assist Pedestrians Safely in a Crosswalk
