Job Description

The Sterling Heights Police Department is seeking candidates interested in becoming Crossing Guards! Part-time jobs begin as substitutes and become permanent positions as they become available. Starting rate of pay is $20.50 per hour. Work schedule includes up to 20 hours a week. Posts are at Utica Community School District schools as well as Warren Consolidated schools within the Sterling Heights city limits. The job runs from late August until early June; sample hours would be 7:55am - 8:30am and 3:10pm - 3:35pm.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist children as they safely cross the street to and from school Encourage safe behavior by all pedestrians at the school crossing Be mindful of oncoming traffic as you guide students and other pedestrians across the street Position open until filled. EOE/M/F/D
