LUNCHROOM / PLAYGROUND AIDE
-(Part time 2hrs/day)
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate. Excellent human relations skills. Experience with young people. Prior experience in a school setting is desired. Ability to demonstrate keen observation competence.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Playground Supervise students at playtime and maintain a harmonious atmosphere on the playground. Organizes group games and activities. Assumes responsibility for play equipment. Takes part in in-service training programs. Directs movement of groups to and from the playground. Displays initiative during supervision duties. Maintains student confidentiality. Carries a first aid pack provided by the school nurse. Reports problems and accidents. Follows established safety procedures. Directs students to keep hands and feet to oneself. Cafeteria Supervises students using their utensils safely. Supervises students in appropriate cafeteria behavior.

  • Use of safe movement Provides assistance in the maintenance of a safe and orderly cafeteria environment. Is sensitive to students requiring individual or special needs. Dresses appropriately in a manner suitable for the job.
