Job Summary The Recess Aide is responsible for supervising students during recess periods at St Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church while ensuring a safe, positive, and faith-filled environment. This position promotes student safety, encourages appropriate social interactions, monitors playground activities, and supports the school's mission by fostering respectful behavior and good sportsmanship.

Job Responsibilities Supervise students during assigned recess periods and ensure their safety at all times. Monitor playground activities and enforce school rules and safety procedures. Encourage positive student interactions, inclusion, and good sportsmanship. Address minor conflicts and behavioral concerns using appropriate disciplinary practices. Report accidents, injuries, safety concerns, or significant behavioral issues to school administration. Assist students with problem-solving and conflict resolution when needed. Ensure students remain within designated play areas. Support smooth transitions between recess and classroom activities. Communicate professionally with faculty, staff, and administration regarding student concerns. Assist with supervision during inclement weather indoor recess periods as assigned. Uphold the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and St Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, recreation, or related setting preferred. Ability to effectively supervise groups of students in an outdoor setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsive to student safety needs. Demonstrated patience, dependability, and professionalism. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration. Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students outdoors for extended periods. Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Successful completion of required background checks, Safe Environment training, and Archdiocesan requirements.
