$16.00/hour, Part Time Hourly/10 month

11:00am - 3:00pm, Monday -

Opportunity:
Tapestry Charter School is in search of a team of Cafeteria Monitors who can assist our K-4 students during their daily lunch periods. We are looking for energetic people who we can depend on to help us in our mission to fulfill the most basic needs for our students.
Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff. Adherence to all safety rules and training as provided. Ability to work as part of a team to meet collective goals while taking direction as required. Ability to pass a NYS background check and fingerprinting process. Must be able to stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a school setting working with elementary aged children.
Responsibilities:
Monitor students during meal service by circulating and interacting with students during meals (encouraging students to wait in line in an orderly fashion; encouraging students to pick up their trash; encouraging students to leave the cafeteria in an orderly fashion) Communicate with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner. Circulate throughout the cafeteria assisting students with various needs related to eating lunch. Assist with the cleanliness of the cafeteria by cleaning tables and chairs as students finish eating. Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time. Encourage good table manners. Participate in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested.
