The Lunch and Recess Monitor is responsible for providing a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students during lunch periods, recess, and related transitions.

• The monitor supervises student behavior, promotes respectful interactions, enforces school expectations, and communicates concerns to school administration when appropriate.
  
• Essential Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch and outdoor recess. Monitor student behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
  
• Ensure student safety at all times. Assist with student arrival to and dismissal from the cafeteria and playground. Encourage positive social interactions and appropriate conflict resolution.
  
• Report injuries, accidents, or behavioral concerns promptly to the school nurse or administration. Assist with emergency procedures as directed.
  
• Maintain active supervision by circulating throughout assigned areas. Communicate respectfully with students, staff, and families.
  
• Perform other duties related to student supervision as assigned by the principal.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Experience working with children is preferred.
  
• Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and professional demeanor.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
