Job Description

Student Worker ECC Crossing GuardPurpose/Objective of the
Role:
The Service Learning office and the Early Childhood Center (ECC) are partnering to make Park Ave safer for our preschool program! We are hiring students each semester to serve as Crossing Guards at the ECC Monday thru Friday during the Early Childhood Center's arrival and dismissal times. A portion of the shift will be outdoors, so appropriately dressing for the weather is a must!
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Applicants must commit to the full semesterComplete the provided training Attend every assigned shift Assist ECC families by ensuring a safe crosswalk during arrival and departure timesCommunication with the ECC Director and Teachers/StaffAssist with small ECC projects, as time allows
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skillsTime management skillsUnwavering commitment to attendancePassion for working with children and fostering a positive environmentFederal Work Study Recipient (preferred, not required)
Potential Future Career Benefit:
The ECC Crossing Guard program provides a fulfilling experience for students interested in any field that requires interacting with the public by enhancing communication and interpersonal skills. This position will allow interactions with the ECC staff, enrolled students and their families.
