Join Eagle Point School District 9 – Supporting Safe and Positive Student Environments

Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a caring and proactive Lunch Monitor to support student

well-being during lunchtime at Eagle Point Middle School. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who

enjoy working with students and are committed to fostering a safe and respectful school environment.

Located in the scenic Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, EPSD9 serves students in Eagle Point,

White City, and nearby rural areas. Our district embraces community values and promotes student success through

supportive relationships, engaging learning environments, and a focus on student well-being.

About the Role

As a Lunch Monitor, you will help ensure student safety and positive interactions during the school's midday break.

This position focuses on supervising students in the cafeteria and common areas, promoting safe and inclusive behavior,

assisting with student needs, and maintaining a respectful and orderly environment.

You will remain visible and engaged, support students with problem-solving and interpersonal skills, communicate concerns

to appropriate staff, and follow school and district procedures. You may also assist with emergency procedures and provide

support to students as needed in coordination with school staff.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with youth and are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, observant, and able to relate to students of diverse backgrounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Candidates must communicate effectively with students and staff, respond calmly to minor incidents, and be comfortable working indoors

and outdoors in varying conditions. Training in CPI is a plus and will be provided if needed. A positive approach to student engagement,

respect for confidentiality, and commitment to equity are essential.

Work Schedule & Compensation

This position is 3.5 hours per school day (0.4375 FTE) during lunch periods and is located at Eagle Point Middle School.

Compensation is based on the district's Classified Salary Schedule.
