Job Description

STS is hiring Lunch Monitors for Bear Creek Elementary School and Elizabethtown Area Middle School in the Elizabethtown Area School District. The Lunch Monitor plays an important role in ensuring students have a safe, respectful, and positive experience during lunch periods. The ideal candidate is attentive, compassionate, and able to promote positive student behavior while supporting school expectations.
Job Details Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM - 1:45
PM Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Job Type:
Part-time Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch periods and ensure a safe, orderly environment. Monitor student behavior and encourage respectful interactions. Promote an inclusive environment for all students, including those with special needs or disabilities. Support school expectations related to behavior, safety, and student conduct. Assist with behavior management and student needs as directed by school staff. Help students safely transition to and from the cafeteria area. Communicate student concerns, safety issues, or behavioral incidents with teachers and administrators. Respond appropriately to minor student needs and follow school safety procedures. Support additional non-instructional duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or related setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage student interactions with patience, professionalism, and consistency. Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Ability to follow school policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols. Dependable, attentive, and able to work collaboratively with school staff. Ability to meet all required employment clearances and district requirements.
