Job Description

Come join our team! We are hiring for our new child care wing that opens April 2026! The Assistant Group Leader is responsible for aiding the Youth Program Directors/Coordinators in activities during programming hours. This position will require 20-35 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. During the school year, your shift is varying 7 am

9 am shifts and 3 pm
6 pm Monday
Friday, so you must be available to work a split shift. During the summer, your shift will be 8:15 am
4:30 pm.

Main responsibility of the Assistant Group Leader will be supervision of youth during program time.

Further responsibilities are listed below:

Assist in the supervision of their zone or "class" which consists of 12-24 youth Assist in completion of necessary paperwork/documentation Incident reports Cleaning All staff will be responsible for cleaning areas of the building.

Obtain necessary clearances (Act 33, Act 34, Act 73) prior to hire NSOR Clearance Obtain mandated reporter training prior to hire Physical and Tuberculous test within 10 days of hire Two letters of reference prior to hire

Education:

High school or equivalent

Experience:

At least 1 year experience working with youth
