Immediately Job Description Cafeteria Monitor Purpose Statement The job of Cafeteria Monitor is done for the purpose/s of performing non-classroom supervision duties, in the cafeteria. This job reports to School Principal. Part-Time 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Essential Functions- Follow outlined behavior support plan and reports recurring behavioral problems and/or safety hazards to teachers or other designated school staff for maintaining a safe school environment.
- Monitor students during meal periods for maintaining acceptable behavioral standards at meals.
- Promote standards of courtesy and behavior expected of students (e.g. at mealtimes for maintaining a school environment c onducive to social and academic learning.
- Provide supervision and direction to students during meals for ensuring a safe mealtime.
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g. injured students, student disputes, etc.) for resolving immediate safety concerns and directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Respond to inquiries from a variety of sources for resolving issues, providing information and/or direction to other sources.
- Direct movement of students entering and exiting the cafeteria.
- Monitor execution of student duties - table washing and picking up trash.
- Create seating chart of students for daily attendance and emergencies. Other Functions
- Performs other related duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
