Position Summary The Student Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of students during non-instructional portions of the school day, primarily during lunch and recess periods. The Student Supervisor helps create a positive and structured environment by actively supervising students, encouraging appropriate social interactions, reinforcing school expectations, and responding to student needs as they arise.

Work Hours:

10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and other assigned non-instructional periods. Maintain active supervision to help ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for students. Promote positive social interactions, problem-solving, and age-appropriate conflict resolution. Monitor and consistently reinforce school behavior and safety expectations. Assist students with minor needs and seek additional staff support when appropriate. Communicate effectively with teachers, school administration, and other staff regarding student behavior, injuries, incidents, or concerns. Assist with setting up and cleaning up spaces used during lunch, recess, or other supervised activities. Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents in accordance with school procedures. Support a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for all students. Perform other student supervision duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in education, psychology, childcare, or a related field is a plus. Experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, camp, or similar setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance. Ability to remain calm, attentive, and effective in a busy school environment. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors while actively supervising students. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain. Ability and willingness to successfully complete a background check in accordance with school requirements. Required Certifications & Screening The following are required for this position: CPR Certification First Aid Certification Food Handler Certification Successful completion of a background check in accordance with school requirements Applicants do not need to hold all required certifications at the time of application. The Franklin Academy will provide guidance and support in obtaining the required CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications as part of the onboarding process . Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the required background screening and completion of all required onboarding requirements.

Pay:

$19.13 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
