Job Description

Change & Document Control Assistant We are growing our team at Thompson Retractor and are looking for a Change and Document Control Assistant to provide administrative help and support to a busy Engineering Team. This position is located at our headquarters in Traverse City, MI. We're an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization. Thompson is employee-owned and vested employees automatically receive company shares.
Responsibilities:
Filing/Labeling Create and edit files in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Circulate paperwork Note taking Assist with office needs such as ordering supplies, equipment, etc.
Support Change Control Notice System:
o Track open issues and drive to closure o Create/modify parts in Thompson's ERP (database) as needed o Circulate Change Notices for review and approval o Publish approved documents including Engineering drawings, work instructions, forms, reports o Transfer obsolete documents into a controlled archive location Support First Article Inspections for new prototypes or production devices Support the update and release of manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and procedures. Other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma plus 1-2 years in related roles Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to review and edit copy for consistency, spelling, punctuation, etc. Exhibit excellent communication, time management and multitasking skills to meet deadlines and perform well in a fast-paced environment. Highly attentive to detail Highly organized, follows systems well Friendly, positive attitude Professional and Interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize EEO/AA Expected hours: 40.0 per week
