Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plans and directs investigations to identify sources of environmental hazards that affect public health. Collect and synthesize data from various scientific disciplines to study the impact of measurements on soil and water sources. Validate Technical Reports and recommend actions based on observed data findings. Leads the day-to-day coordination of environmental compliance for forward-deployed facilities and utility networks. Oversee the integration of environmental monitoring tools and recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency of waste treatment systems. Validate environmental After-Action Reports and develop tactical procedures to mitigate theaterwide ecological risks. Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Senior Level Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 10+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education). Advanced technical certifications. Midlevel Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field and 3+ years of position-relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education). Junior Level Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education).

Preferred Qualifications:

Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) trained or certified. Experience with USSOCOM-specific environmental sustainment. Background in quality gate oversight for remediation projects.

Clearance Required:

Must hold an active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
