Full Time The Opportunity LMS Security Advisors is looking for an experienced Field Security Technical Advisor to join its growing Technical Services team in the United States. This is a hands-on, field-based position for someone with strong experience in physical security systems, technical security auditing and risk assessment who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working directly with clients. You'll support a range of client sites across the United States, assessing existing security environments, identifying vulnerabilities and helping clients develop practical, proportionate security solutions. The role will ideally be based in Dallas, Texas, although we are open to candidates elsewhere in Texas, including Austin and Houston, who have convenient access to a major airport and are comfortable with regular nationwide travel. What You'll Be Doing You'll work across a variety of client environments and security projects, with responsibilities including: Conducting physical security risk assessments, technical audits and on-site surveys. Assessing existing physical security systems and identifying vulnerabilities, weaknesses and potential security risks. Reviewing the design, installation, configuration and operation of physical security systems. Developing practical and cost-effective recommendations to mitigate identified risks. Supporting physical security design across both new and existing buildings. Providing technical oversight during installation, testing, commissioning and project handover. Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, system documentation and contractor submissions. Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams to resolve technical issues and support successful project delivery. Producing clear assessment and audit reports outlining findings, risks and recommended actions. Presenting technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with physical security professionals who combine strong technical knowledge with the confidence to work directly with clients. Ideally, you'll bring: Strong experience with physical and technical security systems, including access control, video surveillance/CCTV and associated technologies. Experience with Software House / C CURE would be particularly advantageous. Experience conducting physical security risk assessments, technical audits, vulnerability assessments or site surveys. A strong understanding of security system design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and operation. The ability to identify vulnerabilities and translate technical findings into practical security recommendations. Experience reviewing the quality and technical compliance of work delivered by security integrators, installers or contractors. Knowledge of project delivery processes including design review, QA/QC, testing, commissioning and handover. Confidence reviewing technical drawings, specifications and system documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to clients and stakeholders. A proactive, analytical and client-focused approach. Experience using Bluebeam, CAD or Revit would also be advantageous. Location & Travel This is a Texas-based role with regular travel to client sites across the United States. Dallas is the preferred location, although candidates based elsewhere in Texas will also be considered where they have strong access to major domestic air routes.
