This position is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, installation, and documentation of portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and state regulations. This is not an entry-level position . Applicants must have previous fire extinguisher service experience and hold a current Louisiana Fire Extinguisher (FE) License .
Qualifications Required:
Current Louisiana Fire Extinguisher (FE) License Previous experience servicing portable fire extinguishers Knowledge of NFPA 10 requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in commercial and industrial environments Ability to work independently while maintaining accurate documentation
Preferred:
Experience with kitchen suppression systems Experience with emergency lighting inspections Experience with fire alarm or other life safety systems Basic computer and mobile device proficiency for digital inspection reports Responsibilities Perform inspections, maintenance, recharge, hydrostatic testing coordination, and installation of portable fire extinguishers. Complete all required inspection reports and service documentation accurately. Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools. Deliver professional customer service on every job site. Follow all company safety policies and applicable NFPA and Louisiana State Fire Marshal requirements. Assist with other life safety services as needed.
