Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Safety Officer-Firefighter to support a major industrial manufacturing facility in Calvert City, KY for a long term contract position. This position is ideal for a safety-minded professional with EMT and Firefighter certifications who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to protecting people, property, and operations. This role will primarily support the main gate and construction gate, ensuring site safety, managing facility access, responding to emergencies, and providing exceptional customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors. What You'll Do Monitor and control access at the facility's main and construction gates Verify contractor and visitor access while maintaining site security Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency medical care as needed Support fire response and emergency preparedness activities Conduct routine safety observations and report hazards or concerns Patrol designated areas to help maintain a safe and secure environment Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation Utilize Microsoft Office and other computer systems to complete required documentation Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders Perform additional safety and security responsibilities as assigned What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current EMT Certification Current Firefighter Certification High school diploma or GED Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and decision-making skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or construction environment Experience with access control or industrial site security Familiarity with incident reporting systems Sirius Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
