Job Description
The Town of Upton is accepting applications for the full-time Firefighter / EMT Paramedic position. This position reports to the Fire/EMS Chief and is a dual-role member of the department, with advanced emergency medical care responsibilities and firefighting duties. Depending on the nature of the emergency, these personnel provide basic and advanced life support, perform extrication and rescue, and are responsible for combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires and saving life and property. A Firefighter/Paramedic is responsible for rapidly and efficiently performing various duties under emergency conditions frequently involving considerable hazards. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Massachusetts driver's license, Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic, American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
