We are seeking passionate, high-energy employees that will represent the traditions and values of the American fire service and that value being a part of a team as well as a family. We offer a proactive leadership that supports smart, aggressive firefighting, along with providing proper equipment to do so. Safety through job competency, not risk aversion. A welcoming family atmosphere, including regular off-shift outings and trips. Consistent, realistic training including special operations scenarios and live fire evolutions. All hazards response work including dive rescue, hazardous materials, confined space, cave rescue and more! Flexible work schedule; 48 hours on and 96 hours off. Our Firefighters perform specialized duty work functions in preparing for and responding to fire/rescue emergency calls and in providing general support within the Fire Department. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining readiness for emergency call response; responding to fire, vehicle rescue, and related emergency calls when dispatched and taking proper action; educating staff and public on fire safety/prevention; and performing other tasks.
