Job Description

Description Position Summary:
The Custom Owned Material (COM) Clerk ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished goods, identifying nonconformities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain consistent product quality. Pay is $16.50 per hour. Shift is 6:00am- 2:30pm
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service experience a plus Extensive knowledge of Fabric (seamstress preferred).
Skills and Abilities:
Strong written, oral communication skills Basic math and basic computer skills Must be able to stand for long periods of time Strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct receiving activities of COM Inspect COM fabric for flaws (must be able to lift 50 lb. fabric bolts) Document material flaws by completing necessary forms and uploading to systems. Determine if flaws can be worked around Data entry (edit orders, release orders, and add notes) Assist production and customer service with COM issues Must be willing to cross train within the dept. May interact with dealers and suppliers regarding COM fabric issues Participate in team improvement initiatives Communicate inspection findings to production, engineering, and quality teams. Participate in internal audits and support customer or third-party inspections. Assist with quality implementation of control procedures and continuous improvement activities (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
