Receiving Inspector Level I Position Summary:
Receiving Inspector is a key member of the receiving team, supporting the receipt of customer product for repair and overhaul, open boxes, ensure repair orders and the parts received match, correctly identified and ensures not damaged in shipping. The receiving inspector evaluates customer repair orders to ensure accuracy. This position also logs repair orders into our business system creating repair orders, work order technical documents, identification tags, and moves product to manufacturing cellsKey Position Responsibilities:
Acts proactively supporting safety at all times. Safety is ALWAYS first Position is up tempo and very detail oriented Receives and organizes all parts and components arriving at our facility Maintains traceability of part numbers, serial numbers and paperwork at all times Generates inspection packages for further engineering evaluation Generates work orders in our business systems, produces identification tags, attach tags to product Support engineering team for various task as required Collects all the packaging materials for reuse. Maintains at good housekeeping in the area Provide clear, timely, responsiveness and communication. Self-motivated and goal-oriented team member. Available to work overtime as required. Performs other related duties as required. Support production with all required technical needs. Improve manufacturing processes through continuous improvement projects. Build repair instructions using visual and dimensional inspection methods. Required qualification / Education / and/orExperience:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent Valid driver's license Must be capable to write, read, and speak English fluently. Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position Ability to organize priorities, daily tasks, and complete actions on time, in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience with Excel, Outlook, Word as well as other miscellaneous computer skills. Must be able to show proof of legally ability to work in United States Must be able to pass FAA drug screen and background checkPhysical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facilityPreferred Qualifications:
Aerospace / Defense industry experience a plus FAA A&P certificate is a strong plus Read and interpret blueprints and approved technical data Experience working in a manufacturing facility Experience working with hand tools Experience working with measurement gages Mechanically inclined candidates Travel - 0% Reporting to thisPosition:
