Job Description

Summary of Position:
The Assistant Manager is to support the Store Manager in daily tasks and operations. They are equally accountable for the team morale, performance, and customer experience within the store. This position is seen as a stepping-stone for future Store Manager roles, if properly mastered and executed.
Scheduling Expectations:
Full Time Hours (no less than 32 hrs per week, more likely 40 hrs per week) Typically PM hours until store closes Flexibility- Assistant Managers will be first call to find someone to cover call-off shifts, if cannot find someone and is not available themselves then Store Manager will be asked
Essential Functions:
Follow proper cash handling procedures and giving correct change
  • Receive and stock all incoming deliveries to the liquor store
  • Responsible for keeping the store clean and organized. Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedule. Pick up trash, sweep, dust, and mop regularly.
  • Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest while anticipating and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Encourage customers to join the Loyalty Program
  • Answer questions about products and upsell customers
  • Answer the telephone answering all questions from the customer
  • Must communicate properly and effectively with the customer, associates, and managers.
  • Must be knowledgeable of store operations and all daily tasks including: o Morning Bank Reconciling o Ordering and Inventory Counts o Receiving and Logging Invoices o Making Daily Bank Deposits-
  • If unable to make daily deposit, then must notify Ops Manager immediately
  • o Ensuring Closing Cleaning Lists are

$15.00 - $15.50 per hour
