Hearings Representative for a temporary long-term, full-time position . This role is responsible for managing Social Security disability claims through the hearing level of the appeals process. The Hearings Representative advocates for clients by preparing hearing files, communicating with the Social Security Administration (SSA), Office of Hearings Operations (OHO), medical providers, attorneys, and clients to ensure timely and accurate case development. This position plays a critical role in helping individuals obtain Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a caseload of SSI and SSDI hearing-level appeals. Review claim files to identify strengths, weaknesses, and outstanding evidence needed for hearings. Obtain and organize medical records, treatment notes, diagnostic reports, and other supporting documentation. Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, answer questions, and prepare them for hearings. Draft hearing summaries, case analyses, and pre-hearing briefs when appropriate. Coordinate with Administrative Law Judges (ALJs), SSA staff, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders. Monitor hearing schedules, deadlines, and case milestones to ensure timely completion of all required actions. Submit evidence electronically through SSA systems and maintain accurate documentation of all submissions. Prepare clients for hearings by explaining the hearing process, expected questions, and courtroom procedures. Document all client interactions, case activities, and communications in the case management system. Review hearing decisions and determine next steps, including favorable decisions, remands, dismissals, or Appeals Council referrals. Ensure compliance with SSA regulations, organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and HIPAA standards. Participate in quality assurance reviews, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with
SSI/SSDI
disability claims, hearings, case management, or Social Security advocacy. Working knowledge of SSA disability programs, policies, and hearing procedures. Experience reviewing medical documentation and disability evidence. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience representing clients through the SSA hearing process. Knowledge of SSA listings, vocational rules, and disability determination processes. Experience using SSA electronic records systems (ERE, Appointed Representative Services, or similar platforms). SOAR training or other Social Security disability advocacy certifications are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (evenings and weekends may be required based on business needs).
