SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $50,776.88 to $75,758.39 for Schedule A, and $50,776.88 to $71,970.45 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule B. The Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage, is seeking a reliable, well-organized, detail-oriented secretary to support a Superior Court Judge. The selected individual must have strong keyboarding, technical, and administrative skills. See Example of Duties below. Duties may include but are not limited to:- provide technical assistance to the judge
- distribute and conform judge's orders or requests
- coordinate availability and technology capabilities of court users for remote court hearings
- communicate judge's schedule with division scheduling coordinator
- prepare and submit reports
- compile case documents and organize case jackets
- review and update case data in our data systems
- sort and distribute chamber's mail
- type and/or prepare contracts or legal documents
- compose correspondence
- answer inquiries from the public
- edit and proofread letters, documents or articles
- file records, reports, forms, letters or other written documents
- perform other related duties as assigned Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
