Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join an established and growing family law practice in San Diego. This is an opportunity for an attorney who is confident handling cases independently and wants meaningful ownership of their caseload while working within a supportive, collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Independently manage and handle a family law caseload from intake through resolution. Represent clients in family law matters and provide strategic legal guidance. Draft and review motions, declarations, pleadings, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Prepare cases for hearings, negotiations, mediations, and trial. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties. Develop case strategies based on the facts, applicable law, and client objectives. Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, billing, and documentation. Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys while maintaining ownership of assigned matters. Provide a high level of client service while managing competing priorities effectively. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active California Bar license in good standing. Strong substantive knowledge of family law. Recent experience practicing family law. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a caseload or readiness to take full ownership of cases. Ability to independently draft motions, declarations, settlement agreements, and related legal documents. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working in a performance-oriented environment with billable-hour expectations. Must be based in or willing to work in the San Diego area.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
