Job Description

Our boutique law firm in Southaven, Mississippi, seeks a highly experienced Senior Paralegal/Law Clerk to provide comprehensive litigation support to two attorneys. This in‑office role is focused on personal injury and related civil litigation and requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience managing litigation files with minimal supervision. Core duties include drafting and propounding discovery, preparing discovery responses, demand letters, and complaints; ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records; coordinating depositions and mediations; maintaining litigation calendars and deadlines; communicating professionally with clients, providers, insurers, and opposing counsel; assisting with trial preparation (exhibit and witness lists, trial notebooks, subpoenas); and filing documents through MEC and ECF. Strong legal writing skills, excellent organization, proficiency in Microsoft Word, and familiarity with litigation case‑management workflows are essential. Salary is commensurate with experience; the firm does not currently offer benefits but intends to implement them in 2028. Applicants must have substantive experience in plaintiff personal injury or civil litigation and be able to provide a redacted demand letter or substantive legal correspondence they personally drafted.
